The Les Wade Memorial Shield

A competition in remembrance of Les Wade, who sadly died in 2008. His family have donated the Les Wade Memorial Shield to the Club to support this competition. Click here to view the shield.

To be shot at 200 yards, using military breech-loading rifles e.g. SMLE, Mauser K98, Moisin-Nagant, Ross, etc.

No scopes allowed, only iron sights (open or aperture).

No bipods or rests, but slings may be used.

Within a 10 minute detail there will be 5 sighting shots at the normal target (marked with a pointer after each shot), followed by 10 shots at a competition target which will be attached to the normal target and removed afterwards for scoring.

RCO's decision is final regarding weapons, sights, etc.

Only one entry will be permitted.

To be held at Altcar when the distances permit.
